About Us
In
2000, The
McLaughlin family purchased the land, house and barn, which now
constitute Little
Rascals Orchard. Over the last eight years, the orchard has been
the venue for many charitable events centered around family apple-picking.
Facilities
The
orchard sits on over a hundred acres of farmland. We have about
ten varieties of apples, as well as raspberry and pumpkin patches. Goats, sheep, chickens
and ducks are also raised on the premises. Our facilities also include a commercial cider press and a full
commercial bakery which we use to churn out tons of apple baked goods.
Add a few tractors, gators, lawn mowers, a ten-stall antique barn and a
few outbuildings and you have Little Rascals Orchard.
Driving Directions
Little Rascals Orchard is approximately 40 minutes west of Boston. Drive west on Route 2 to exit 38A (Route 110 W/Route 111 S towards Harvard/Worcester). Merge onto Ayer Road/Rt 110/Rt 111. The Farm is about 1/2 mile down on the left.
If you are going to MapQuest it or Google it, use the address: 116 Ayer Road, Harvard MA 01451.
Children's Charities
If you are involved with a children's charity or private/parochial school in Massachusetts and you think
that the orchard might be a great partner for your organization, please
send us an email at
inquiry@pickapples.org. We can promise you that we
won't get
back to you during apple harvest, but we will ring you during
the
winter to discuss your idea. Keep in mind, to run a strong and
successful event, you need to
be able to guarantee about 500 people in attendance. We
run the event but your organization will be in charge of getting people
there!
